1) What does BAME stand for?

BAME stands for Black,Asian,Minority and Ethnic.


2) Why is there a need for blood in the BAME community? 
There is a need for blood specifically for the BAME community because Black and Asian people have blood disease and issues to do with blood than white people. 

3) What does this advert want people to do once they've seen it ('call to action')?
This advert wants people to donate blood once they've seen this advert. 

4) Why is the advert called 'Represent'?
This advert is called 'Represent' because it is a positive message and an example of urban dialect.

Why have the producers chosen famous BAME celebrities to feature in the advert? Give an example of three well-known people who appear in the advert and why they are famous.
The producers chosen famous BAME celebrities to feature in the advert so that the audience watching this would have more interest into donating blood because by showing famous people this means that you will be desperate to donate because the audience look up to famous people as idols or role models which makes them want to help more if people have a blood disease or any disorder. 
Lady Leshurr is one of a famous well-known people who appears to be in the advert who is famous for being an English rapper, singer, and producer. Another well-known person who appears to be in the advert is Ade Adepitan he is known to be famous for being a British television presenter and wheelchair basketball player.
Another famous person who appears to be in the advert is Mariah Idrissi; she is famous for being a British Moroccan/Pakistani model, public speaker, and online personality. By using different people who has a different role reinforces that  no matter what you are who you are you can still donate.

6) Why is there a slow-paced long shot of empty chairs at the end of the advert?
The empty chair were there at the end when the blood donation is mentioned because there are not enough donors of ethnic minority and this leads to people dying.


7) How does the advert match the key conventions of a typical rap music video?
The advert matches the key conventions of typical rap music video by having a fast pace and quick editing and has an urban background. 

8) How does the advert subvert stereotypes? Give three examples (e.g. ethnicity, masculinity, femininity, age, class, disability/ability etc.)  
The advert subvert stereotypes by showing how women can also be as powerful as men and almighty.
