Watch the following Science Fiction TV drama clips and write an NCIS analysis of each one.

Doctor Who: Amy Pond meets Amelia Pond

 

Narrative:The narrative represents a third person perspective of a young girl in a abandoned museum and she goes in and starts touching things with no permission. The she sees a massive cube and she touches it a white light beams in her eyes and the cube opens but she still isn't scared then a another character comes out of the cube and heavily breathes the a robot come and says exterminate but the a male protagonist come and saves them.

 Character:The young girl is very lovable to the audience because she is young aged and she is brave. 
Iconography: The robot came alive.

Setting: This scene was set in an abandoned museum. 


Humans: Series 1 trailer 

 

Narrative: The robots are here to help their owner and that they are very handy.

Character: Normal people and robots that were bought by their owner.

Iconography: Robots can communicate exactly like humans.

 Setting: At a house outside in field and shops.

General Watch this trailer for BBC's Posh People - a documentary about Tatler, the oldest magazine in Britain. 1) Based on the trailer, what type of people produce and read Tatler? 1) What year was the advert produced? The OMO print advert was produced in the 1950s. 2) How were women represented in most adverts in the 1950s? The women in most of the 1950s advert were represented as a slave, this is because they do all the chores while their husband goes work, their only job is to   do the cleaning and to look attractive in front of their husband. 3) How does the heading  message ('OMO makes whites bright') and typography promote the product? The heading font is san serif, the product is a cleaning product and any cleaning product make dirty white clothes back to white but this product makes it bright white. 4) Analyse the mise-en-scene in the advert (CLAMPS): how is costume, make-up and placement of the model used to suggest women's role in society? 1) What stereotypes of women can you find in the 1950s and 1960s adverts? Give specific examples.  The stereotypes of woman that I can find in the 1950-60s adverts is that women stay home and do the cleaning jobs at home and not do anything else. men has all the power whereas women don't and women mostly care about their appearance this is because their aim is to attract men. Women are treated like a pet to men and they are just to pass the time.      2) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples. In the Chanel advert I can see that nowadays women don't need men to make them look attractive.
