General Watch this trailer for BBC's Posh People - a documentary about Tatler, the oldest magazine in Britain. 1) Based on the trailer, what type of people produce and read Tatler? Consider demographics and  psychographics. Middle class and upper middle class people read Tatler. People who are rich buys these type of magazines and read them. These people either has a good job or they are from a rich family for e.g members of the aristocracy(people who owns big houses) and educated people.  2) Look at the  Tatler Media Pack 2018 . Go to page 2: how does the editor introduce the magazine? "A FABULOUSLY  TARGETED, SENSATIONALLY  ACCURATE RIFLE SHOT TO THE  VERY RICHEST READERS IN THE  COUNTRY." 1) What stereotypes of women can you find in the 1950s and 1960s adverts? Give specific examples.  The stereotypes of woman that I can find in the 1950-60s adverts is that women stay home and do the cleaning jobs at home and not do anything else. men has all the power whereas women don't and women mostly care about their appearance this is because their aim is to attract men. Women are treated like a pet to men and they are just to pass the time.      2) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples. In the Chanel advert I can see that nowadays women don't need men to make them look attractive. 1) What year was the advert produced? The OMO print advert was produced in the 1950s. 2) How were women represented in most adverts in the 1950s? The women in most of the 1950s advert were represented as a slave, this is because they do all the chores while their husband goes work, their only job is to   do the cleaning and to look attractive in front of their husband. 3) How does the heading  message ('OMO makes whites bright') and typography promote the product? The heading font is san serif, the product is a cleaning product and any cleaning product make dirty white clothes back to white but this product makes it bright white. 4) Analyse the mise-en-scene in the advert (CLAMPS): how is costume, make-up and placement of the model used to suggest women's role in society?
