Preliminary exercise: Science fiction continuity task

Statement of intent
 I am planning on making a short Science Fiction television scene set in a school.I will use quite a lot of camera shot angle such as; close-up,over the shoulder,long shot and etc.I will also use a extreme close-up to show that someone is calling the main character using no caller ID. My protagonist is a normal student from school that is getting called by an alien called P4 alien and the alien wants the protagonist to do something which is too dangerous but first my protagonist denies/refuses to do it because of the fact that it is too risky then the alien threatens his by saying something and then my protagonist agrees to do it but he before that he is going to go and meet him.    

 My scene is showing how a young person these age gets blackmailed to do things and how they fall into traps so easily and actually go to meet the person.

General Watch this trailer for BBC's Posh People - a documentary about Tatler, the oldest magazine in Britain. 1) Based on the trailer, what type of people produce and read Tatler? 1) What year was the advert produced? The OMO print advert was produced in the 1950s. 2) How were women represented in most adverts in the 1950s? The women in most of the 1950s advert were represented as a slave, this is because they do all the chores while their husband goes work, their only job is to   do the cleaning and to look attractive in front of their husband. 3) How does the heading  message ('OMO makes whites bright') and typography promote the product? The heading font is san serif, the product is a cleaning product and any cleaning product make dirty white clothes back to white but this product makes it bright white. 4) Analyse the mise-en-scene in the advert (CLAMPS): how is costume, make-up and placement of the model used to suggest women's role in society? 1) What stereotypes of women can you find in the 1950s and 1960s adverts? Give specific examples.  The stereotypes of woman that I can find in the 1950-60s adverts is that women stay home and do the cleaning jobs at home and not do anything else. men has all the power whereas women don't and women mostly care about their appearance this is because their aim is to attract men. Women are treated like a pet to men and they are just to pass the time.      2) What stereotypes of women can you find in the post-2000s adverts? Give specific examples. In the Chanel advert I can see that nowadays women don't need men to make them look attractive.
