Audience power essay learner response

Mathusan- WWW- Your blog is very impressive as you have managed to keep on top of all the work and do all your homework. I think that you sometimes struggle to get the concepts when we learn them in class so I would make sure you take care to read the blog after each lesson and re-read the notes so that you can revise the terminology and make sure you are confident with each new theory. You use all your own words which shows a real effort. Your actual essay is a bit vague with detail and is lacking media language (use your glow words to help you) but your attention on the question is very good and you focus well on the task in hand. EBI- Your introduction is not saying anything other than you are going to talk about advantages and disadvantages – what you need to do is write another introduction and include actual examples of these advantages and disadvantages – talk about how kids can see information and material that is inappropriate for them, cyber bullying, trolling etc. Tal...

THE PREFERRED The preferred reading of the media text is trying to tell us that young people are bad and that they create violence just for other peoples entertainments whereas old people are vulnerable, innocent, weak and unsteady. THE OPTIONAL The optional reading of the media text is trying to tell us that old people can be as bad as young people whereas if young people get a chance to have an opportunity to change they can be good.      The Harry Brown trailer positions the audience to view the teenage characters as a negative point of view and to make them look naughty and most of all dangerous. This is because the teenagers in the trailer the teenager are shown with weapons in their hand therefore this is showing that they are violent and dangerous.  Young people may reject this reading and construct an opposition   reading of this trailer because they may take the scenario as the younger people are being misunderstood in the trailer. ...

Audience power essay

Mathusan Essay question:   “The internet has given audiences much more power than ever before.” To what extent do you agree with this statement? Introduction “The internet has given audiences much more power than ever before”. In my statement I am going to include both points for argument against and argument for. Many people would agree because in a way the internet has given the audiences much power but on the other hand they would disagree because the internet hasn’t given that much of a power. Music industry The music industry has changed so much because people these days don’t make albums and sell them they now show their talent by publishing it on YouTube for e.g. Big Shaq ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M_5oYU-IsU ). Bedroom bands are another example they don’t go to any places to perform, they just do a basic video and they publish it on YouTube and there is a possibility they will get famous like Justin Bieber ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQOFRZ1wNLw...

SHOT BY SHOT ANALYSES

Image
The medium shot allows us to see the surrounding of the location which is the escalator. This shot shows the police squad facial reaction therefore in this case the police squad facial reaction is a suspicious reaction and therefore this builds tension to the audience, they would want to find out more, they want to know what is going to happen to Tom Cruise, they heads will be all over the place thinking if Tom Cruises is going to get caught or escape and how this is going to happen . The way the squad layout looks like something negative has happened and the way the main police is in the front shows us that he is the main police officer. This shot is a long shot. A long shot allow the audience to see the location. In this case this is showing us where Tom Cruise is and it builds suspense by showing the police squad behind us Tom Cruise this shows that the squad isn't going to let go of Tom cruise, but here Tom Cruise escape the place.       ...
